My Story

J. Malvese Capron is a seasoned HR Professional with over 30 years in the Human Resource Management arena.  She is a qualified C-Suite Executive.  Her career background spans some 30+ years in logistics, leadership & organizational development, strategic HR management, labour relations and negotiations, total rewards, workforce planning and recruitment and HR technology; general and life insurance, and legal.

 

Academic and Professional Qualifications:

Some of her professional and academic qualifications include internationally recognized certification fromthe Society of Human Resources Management (SHRM) and the certification body, Human Resources Certification Institute (HRCI) as a Professional in Human Resources (PHR) achieved in 2008 with numerous recertifications; completion of SHRM Senior Certified Professional study material, MBA from Stratford University, a Bachelor of Law degree 2003; (LLB) Degree from McHari International College in 2010, and completed the Australian National University Bar in 2011.

 

Professional Accomplishments through Government and Civic Organization.

She is a former two-time Director on the Board of the Grand Bahama Chamber of Commerce and currently serves as a member of the Bahamas Chamber of Commerce and Employers Confederation as an Executive Member of the National Tripartite Council of The Bahamas, Past Chairman of the Board for Salvation Army Corps for Grand Bahama Island.  She is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM); the first female member and Past President of the Rotary Club of Grand Bahama Sunrise, and one of the four (4) founding members of Rotary Club of Grand Bahama.  She has many accomplishments within Rotary including but not limited to responsibility for coordinating with the Rotary Club of Flemming Island the Rosani Eyeglass project over the past three (3) years, issuing more than 500 eyeglasses to the Grand Bahama community.  She has held numerous positions within Rotary, including Foundation Chair, Membership Chair, Community Service, and Club Service Chair. She is a two-time Paul Harris recipient.

 

Passion & Special Skills

Although an advocate for social justice in her professional realm, she enjoys opera,

singing, coaching adults, theatre/arts, exercising, home renovations/décor projects, travel, and shopping.
